Graduated as Technician in Meteorology in the Camagüey Meteorological Center in 1990.  Engineer Electrician from the University of Camagüey in 2003. Doctor in Meteorological Sciences  in May 2010.

Began to work in the Camagüey Lidar Station in 1994 (currently the Optics Atmospheric Group of Camagüey, GOAC), in charge of the measurements program of the station.  His responsibility included operation, maintenance and upgrade (both software and hardware) as well as the quality control of the observations and its processing. He was also responsible for the submission of the Reports of the CLS station to the Global Volcanic Network.  Because of the joint agreement with the University of Valladolid a CIMEL sun photometer was installed at GOAC, he uis currently in charge of that instrument.
